Twill weave type having the same wire diameter and number in both warp and weft, has each wire passing over two and under two or more warp wires, producing square openings. Twill weae can be made from larger diameter wires than would be possible in Plain Square weave to obtain greater strength and smoother surface. Compared to Plain weave, the open area is smaller and there is a tendency of diagonal drag. This cloth has a wide application capable of supporting greater loads and finer filtrations.
